Imagine exploration, intrigue and excitement… maybe romance? Where? At The Union Square Greenmarket! You could spend an hour or two wandering around, shopping for the ingredients for your weekend fiesta, getting your fill of the most scrumptious imagery and talking with some very fascinating people.
Farmer John Gorzynski has been growing organic food for past 30 years and grows over 100 different types of fruits and vegetables without synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Gorzynski believes that the health of food is intimately intertwined and dependent on the health of the land. He walks the walk when it comes to chemical free farming.
You can also check out other organic farm stands and pick up organic breads and pies, flowers to your heart's desire and candles for that evening of food, music and romance. The Union Square Market is open
Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat 8 AM-6 PM between
Broadway and East 17th Street in Manhattan. For other green markets in NYC click here.
