Thai Crystal Deodorant

We perspire a lot to regulate the body’s temperature, balance salt levels and eliminate waste products. Conventional aluminum-based antiperspirants plug up the sweat glands and prevent perspiration. They also may contain ingredients that are rumored to cause illness, even though the American Cancer Society says these claims are largely unsubstantiated. Thai Crystal Deodorant Mist is a perfectly simple alternative to all those "other ingredients."

A quick search on popular ingredients in other brands finds that aluminum is a neurotoxin and can cause DNA damage. Paraben, a preservative, was reported to be found in samples of breast tumors according to one scientific study. Talc is said to be potentially carcinogenic and toxic. Other ingredients like fragrance, BHT, propylene glycol, silica, and peg-8 distearate are sometimes listed as potential hazards for gastrointestinal or liver function and may pose a potential risk to the immune and nervous systems. OK, I know what you are thinking… why even bother.

Instead, our favorite is the Thai Crystal Deodorant, a hypoallergenic deodorant, free of fragrance, oil, chemicals and alcohol, that lasts all day. It is made from potassium alum, a pure mineral. There is a good description HERE that states "the potassium alum molecules in Thai Crystal Deodorant products have a negative ionic charge, making them unable to pass through your cell walls. They are not absorbed."

In addition to the Mist, Thai Crystal Deodorant comes in a stone that seems to just last and last for many months! The stone and the spray can be used on a hairy or naked pit. Stone is quite smooth when applied out of the shower to a wet pit, it usually dries within a minute; it’s not sticky and does not leave stains on clothing.

I admit that Thai Crystal Deodorant even copes with the aftermath of a salsa chipotle and tequila!
